FAQs
Am I fit enough to ride the club run?
If you are comfortable riding 30-40 miles solo at an average pace of 15mph, you will be fine.

You should bring enough food to sustain yourself on a 3 hour+ ride. As well as equipment to repair punctures and mechanicals. Groups will always help each other but don't rely on this.

You won't know until you try. If you are not sure, come to the start and we can help you.

How long is the club run?
Distances vary with shorter rides typically 30-40 miles in winter, increasing 50 and sometimes 60 miles in Summer.

This is always tailored to who comes on the day. Rides are typically 3 hours in duration.
It is always possible for smaller groups to branch off and head home earlier if they need to.
What happens if I can’t keep up?
No rider is abandoned and we will always try to ride smoothly as a group and within the capabilities of the riders in it!
We always regroup at the top of climbs and can find suitable turn off points.
Do I need a Time Trial Bike to compete?
No, equipment levels vary and many riders use standard road bikes.
